Your dental visit doesn’t have to be a source of stress. Your comfort and safety are important to Dr. Michael Bell and our team. The latest technology, dental equipment and techniques are utilized to ensure your satisfaction with your visit and your continued oral health.
Digital Photography
Dr. Bell uses digital photography to create instant images he keeps on file and uses to track your progress. Film-based photography shows less detail and has to be taken off-site to be developed, while digital images are more efficient and can be saved electronically.
Digital X-Rays
Do you need X-Rays but don’t want to be exposed to the radiation, then digital X-Rays are what you need. Digital X-Rays result in less exposure to radiation and the results are almost instantaneous. They show more detail than traditional X-Rays and can be archived in our system for future reference and comparison. You will appreciate a more comfortable visit with less waiting and quicker treatment.
Cosmetic Imaging
It’s hard to tell what you will look like when your cosmetic procedures are finished without seeing them. That’s why we do cosmetic imaging. Dr. Bell uses this latest technology to help you make the best decision for your dental health and overall appearance.
DIAGNOdent®
The earlier we can detect your cavities, the less intrusive the treatment is. DIAGNOdent® is an exciting new technology that allows us to find previously undetectable cavities on the chewing surfaces of your back teeth in their earliest stages. The DIAGNOdent® is a small, portable laser unit that detects the cavity and alerts us with an audible signal and a numerical readout, providing information about the cavity’s size. Just like other areas of medicine and dentistry, early detection and treatment is of immeasurable value in preserving your health.
Intraoral Camera
We want you to be involved in the dental process. The intraoral camera displays your teeth on a video screen, which allows you to see your teeth while Dr. Bell describes your proposed treatment. This technology allows us to educate you about your oral health, while lessening the feelings of anxiety you may experience when visiting the dentist.
CaesyTM Education System
The CaesyTM Education System is the most advanced patient education system available. It uses high-quality graphics to give you a detailed description of your procedure. This allows us to show you how a procedure can improve your health, and will help you make the best decision for your teeth and gums. The CaesyTM Education Systems helps us ensure your complete understanding of the treatment recommendations and procedures. We can also save this information to a DVD for you to take home after your appointment.
Sedation Dentistry
For some people, visiting the dentist can be an anxious experience. Our offices are designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. If you experience an extreme level of anxiety when visiting the dentist, then oral sedation may be for you. A licensed, medical anesthesiologist will come to our office to perform your sedation and monitor your vital signs throughout the procedure. You will not be fully asleep, but you will be very comfortable and you will have little or no recollection of the procedure. You will be unable to drive yourself after the procedure is complete, so a friend or family member should plan to pick you up from your appointment.
